Fujimi to London via Tokyo - that's the route colourist Akio found himself taking in his career.

It all started as a child while glued to the TV, Akio would stare at the glamorous leading ladies and their hair on his screen and wondered how he could create the same thing. Then came Tokyo where he trained in some of the coolest salons in the city. His training was mainly in cutting and styling where he was able to obtain both great technical and creative skills, but soon the colouring bug bit him!

After moving to London, Akio began his training as a colourist at Windle & Moodie, which proved to be the perfect place for being exposed to the many different colours and techniques that London possessed. During his time at Windle & Moodie Akio has built up an impressive roster of regular clients who love his ability to use his styling past when choosing the right colour that will be unique to them.

In his spare time Akio loves walking around the streets of London, even for hours on end. Although he wishes he could do it more often but he is kept busy with editorial shoots and working on fashion shows including the likes of Burberry, Lanvin and Margaret Howell.

Fran Ferrer

http://www.windleandmoodie.com/objects/stylists/7214_7918_fran-ferrer.aspx

Guiseppe Bulzis

http://www.windleandmoodie.com/stylist/guiseppe

Editorial Hair Stylist and Hairdresser

Kei moved to London in 1998 to embark on his training and career, attending the Vidal Sassoon Academy. In 1999 he began working for Windle & Moodie as a junior.

Kei soon mastered his skills and expanded on his creative style of cutting and moved up the ranks. By 2000, he had qualified as a Senior Stylist and counted both models and celebrities such as Erin O’Conner and members of the band Coldplay as his clients. By 2005 Kei had become a well-known face on the session scene. His work on the hair teams of designers such as Lacoste, Margaret Howell and Julian MacDonald Gave him the opportunity to explore his talent for what he calls 'sculpturing hair' and the art of the updo!

Teaching was Kei's next move. He now holds regular classes for junior stylists in the Windle & Moodie Hair Salon. Passing on his innovation and assisting with fresh recruits cutting and styling classes is something which Kei feels is both exciting and rewarding. Kei says 'I love creating looks and styles that make an impact, be it in class, on the catwalk, or on the client. It is just as rewarding to see the bright smile of a pleased client and an impressed student as it is to see the photographers snapping your work.'

I'm Lizzie Edwards, and since starting Babet Style Consultancy I have worked successfully with hundreds of people, changing the way they shop and dress forever. I offer an inimitable approach to personal styling that looks at the individuality - the shape, size, colour and personality, of every client and brings out the very best of them, helping them to look and feel great.

A new style can be life changing and I can help you to achieve that too. My philosophy Life is too precious to waste time comparing yourself to others. Why spend your energy wishing you were different when you could be making the best of what you’ve got! One sign of confidence is investment in your appearance, knowing that you deserve it.Taking the time and effort to look good shows that you value yourself. How you look on the outside affects how you feel on the inside. When you feel good about your appearance it has an impact on every area of your life. Good style is for everyone, not just the rich and beautiful.

Finding your own personal style is not a luxury, because looking good and feeling good go hand in hand. Employing a style & wardrobe consultant may seem extravagant but when you add up the cumulative cost of all those bad buys, how can you afford not to?

My approach to image consultancy My premise is that style and shopping should be a positive, relaxed and pleasurable experience. I work in a friendly and professional way, ensuring you feel comfortable and enjoy yourself. Having a style session in the wardrobe, or shopping can be a challenging and emotional experience. I aim to make you feel relaxed and happy in my hands, as if you were with a good friend. I am dedicated to your personal style success and guarantee to treat you as an individual, taking into account your personality, lifestyle and budget. You will learn what works best for you and how to make the best of yourself.

Mia Efthymiou born and raised in North London, Mia started early in the hairdressing game as a Saturday shampoo girl in her mother’s Hoxton salon. After extensive training at the London College of Fashion, she went on to join one of London's leading salons in 1990. It was not long before the bright lights of the über-cool catwalks were calling, and they led Mia into session styling.

Working on hair teams for designers such as Julian MacDonald, Margaret Howell and Hussein Chalyan, she has been able to express her art with immense creativity. Session styling still forms part of her current portfolio of work and she regularly assists in British Fashion Week. By 1993, Mia began spreading the artistic word by teaching session styling at the London College of Fashion. She gained great satisfaction by working with young stylists who had a passion to learn, and this in turn enabled her to expand their creativity. In 1994, Mia was snapped up by Windle and Moodie London Hair Salon, where she now continues this mentoring and nurturing role in the training she gives to Windle’s junior staff.

Her knowledge and wisdom make her an invaluable member of the team. Mia trained in New York as a Bumble and Bumble educator and went on to deliver an extensive B&B training programme, traveling the length and breadth of the UK and Eire. This led on to her delivering Windle Inspiration seminars for editorial and session work and she now takes the lead in training for the WAM brand, a highly innovative range of hairdressing tools - www.wamhair.com

No two weeks are ever the same for Mia – she’s a real all rounder. That said, Mia’s absolute passion is one to one client work; putting people at ease, listening to their needs, introducing them to new hairdressing ideas and ensuring they leave her with a cut that really suits them and their lifestyles.

As one longstanding client says of her - “I used to be really hairdresser phobic until Mia was recommended to me over ten years ago. Now I always end a session with her feeling and looking like a million dollars!”

Michael Pitsillides

http://www.windleandmoodie.com/objects/stylists/7214_8077_michael-pitsillides.aspx

Hair stylist

I’m an Italian with a passion for hairdressing and all things eclectic such as culture, fashion, art and design and, of course, good food.

In 1996, I left Salento (the stiletto area of Italy where I’m from) to purse the dream of a life in London; a city where I could embrace all the life-enhancing concepts I mentioned above, as well as further my ambitions in hairdressing.

My career began over 20 years ago in a village barber shop where I trained and went on to work. I later developed a desire to focus on women’s hair that eventually took me on the journey of discovering the true art and craft of modern hairdressing. Along my journey, I’ve partaken in a variety of opportunities such as editorial styling for fashion magazines like ID, Harper and Bazaar, Glamour, Esquire, etc. I’ve also styled hair for designers catwalk shows such as Giorgio Armani, Alexander Mcqueen, Costume National, Ossie Clarck, Paul Smith, Lanvin, etc. (men and women’s wear) Some ‘socialites‘ I’ve styled include Sienna and Savannah Miller, Ferne Cotton, Michelle Ryan and Zoe Ball.

My wealth of experience and creative output lead me to join the Windle team in 2006 where, in addition to looking after my salon clients, I’ve added another layer of skills to my working curriculum: Education. I’ve become a Bumble and Bumble Educator and also give styling seminars for WAM. These involve high-end stage presentations and in-salon seminars all over the world. The journey has been amazing so far but what excites me most is what’s still to come!
