Paul Windle

"My measure of a great hair cut: when I can get up in the morning, brush my hair and look ready to face the world. That is what I get every time when Paul Windle cuts my hair"

- Bianca Jagger

Paul Windle began his hairdressing career as a barber at Vidal Sassoon before switching to ladies’ hair and becoming a teacher at the Vidal Sassoon school. He was later promoted to principal of the Vidal Sassoon schools and academy.

Paul left Vidal Sassoon to open his own hair salon in Covent Garden, Windle. Windle soon became synonymous for editorial and catwalk hairstyling and gained a strong reputation for directional hairdressing. The salon was named London’s Best Salon by Time Out magazine and Paul and the salon have also been featured in British Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire and other major fashion magazines.

Paul was responsible for introducing New York-based hair care brand Bumble and bumble to the UK as well as overseeing its growth and reputation in this country. In 2008 Paul launched WAM, a range of electrical hair care products, along with his business partner Neil Moodie whose name has now been added to the salon name to become Windle & Moodie. Paul loves hairdressing as a craft and still makes sure he finds time to cut hair in the salon. He has travelled extensively throughout the world sharing his expertise with the industry, conducting seminars with other hairdressers.
